Rihanna now returns with her fifth studio album, Loud. However, after a turbulent year in her personal Life, Rihanna proves on this LP that she certainly hasn’t lost her spark.
This album just screams commercial success. Tracks like Only Girl and What’s My Name are already worldwide hits that smash into the psyche. What’s my name, in particular, is a smooth, urban track with Caribbean influences that make you feel like you are strolling down the streets of Rihanna’s homeland, Barbados. Ironically, Rihanna’s Bajan twang is perfect here, which is perfectly complemented by Drake’s charming vocals. Another track that is a sure winner is S&M, the rumoured third single off the LP. Kicking off the album in an appropriately ‘loud’ manner, this fast-paced club hit comes across as something that would be a product from either Lady Gaga or Britney Spears. The catchy-as-hell electronic riff and brilliantly produced rocky bridges also certainly add to the accolade. One would argue that the track only falls short by the quite repetitive chorus and the autotuned vocals that can sometimes be a bit grating; but S&M overall is a triumph in music production.

New iPod Shuffle – New Design

The iPod shuffle has always very small size, but with the 3 generation model, Apple just broke all notions of what a small player should be with what looked like an eraser. It was the smallest music player ever, but unfortunately, this size zero came at a cost, which was the loss of buttons on the player itself. The shuffle was then dependent on its earphones to control the music for it and without them it was as good as a paper clip.

This also meant that users could not use their own headphones with the shuffle as then they would have no way to control it. An alternative would be to buy expensive adaptors that would let you plug in your own headphones and control the player.

Apple realized the problem with this design and so for the fourth generation model they have gone back to their older device. The new shuffle looks a lot like the second generation model, but is now smaller. It uses an anodized aluminum body and comes in five different colors. As with the previous two generations, it comes with a clip on the back, so you can wear the player without the need for any other accessories. The controls are now on the player itself, so you can use any headphones with the device. The new shuffle still retains the VoiceOver feature, which debuted with the previous generation model.

HP Realises Web OS Tablet Coming Early 2011

The head of HP’s Personal Systems Group, has proved that HP will be introducing two tablet products in early 2011.

The announcement has been provided in reaction to a completely differing question, suggesting whether the release of the iPad got an influence on the sale of netbooks.

Presently there are really little details on hand regards the announcement however one will be based on the WebOS and the other will use Microsoft’s Windows 7.

No public name has either been presented for the brand new tablets but Palm registered for a trademark on “PalmPad” a little while back .

Apple to launch Mini iPad

Are you bored of your iPad? Just wait few more months, you will get the all new Mini iPad.

Media reported that Apple Inc is planning to launch a mini iPad in Dec 2010. The new version will be 200 grams lighter than the standard iPad. Apple launched the iPad in Apr 2010, and sold 3 million of the devices in 80 days.

Chinese newspaper, Sky News, reported the launch of the mini iPads. It reported that the two Taiwan companies won contracts to make components smaller than those used on the current iPads. This newspaper had also correctly predicted the specifications of the iPad months before its release.

Toshiba’s new dual-screen, touch-screen laptop, the Libretto W100, is better suited to content creation than Apple’s iPad, believes Mashahiko Fukakushi, a senior executive at the Japanese consumer electronics giant.

The iPad is for passive consumption, while the Libretto W100 and other similar devices excel at content production, said Fukakushi at an event to mark the launch of Toshiba’s new product range.

“Apple’s iPad is probably creating a new market in terms of consuming information, browsing and reading books,” he said. “But when it comes to creation or production … we think what we have been doing still has a lot of value. We want to continue to do both.”

The Libretto W100 runs Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system, and has two 7in, LED-backlit touch-screens. Toshiba says its compact size and clamshell form factor provides “unrivalled flexibility”

Users type on a virtual keyboard, which boasts haptic feedback to provide a physical sense of keys being pressed.

“Toy Story 3” was on the top above all films in the U.S. and Canada for the second straight weekend, bringing in $59.3 million in ticket sales for Walt Disney Co.’s Pixar Studio, while the Tom Cruise action-comedy “Knight and Day” debuted in a disappointing third place, an analyst said.

“Grown Ups” opened in second place with $40.5 million for Sony Corp., Hollywood.com Box-Office said in an e-mailed statement.

“Toy Story 3” has pulled in $226.9 million since its June 18 release, Hollywood.com said. The 3-D sequel brings back the voices of Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear and introduces several new toys, including a villainous bear that smells of strawberries, voiced by Ned Beatty. Sales have benefited from the higher prices cinemas charge for 3-D movies, which are on average about $3 more per ticket.

“For a Pixar film, that’s the most money ever made in a second weekend,” said Jeff Bock, senior box office analyst with Los Angeles-based Exhibitor Relations. “Despite a drop, it’s still a remarkable run in 10 days.’

Sandra Bullock sets up home with adopted son Louis in New Orleans

Sandra Bullock is moving on after putting her split from cheating husband Jesse James behind her.

A Texas-based moving company were seen unloading items including boxes and furniture at her $2.25million mansion in the exclusive Garden City district of New Orleans.

The Oscar-winning actress bought a house in the city so that her adopted baby son Louis could stay in touch with his roots. He was born in the city.

But if Sandra is hoping for a quiet time in her new home, she might be unpleasantly surprised.

The New Orleans mansion is already a stop on the tourist trail, with tour groups dropping by each day to ogle at the outside.
